Midway officials hope for better weather this Friday

Cresco Speedway opener delayed until May 9
April 22, 2008 - Officials from RL Promotions and the Cresco Speedway in Cresco, Iowa, have announced that the season opener at the Howard County Fairgrounds 4/10-mile high-banked clay oval has been pushed back two weeks. The first race of 2008 will now be Friday, May 9.

AMP Energy Drink back on board at Kasson
April 11, 2008 - For the second straight season, AMP Energy Drink will sponsor the “AMP Dash” at the Kasson Speedway. This season, AMP Energy Drink will back the USRA Modified division weekly. However, a new program was created to attempt to get more money into the hands of drivers that don’t often see the winners circle in the main event, and spread the purse out a bit.

Kasson Speedway announces Driver Support Program
March 8, 2008 - In an effort to support the drivers and address rising travel costs, Kasson Speedway officials unveiled a support program today designed to support participation and loyalty. Any USRA Modified driver that has perfect attendance will receive a $300 guarantee against their track points fund, regardless of finish.

Lebanon, Monett machines on display at Battlefield Mall
March 4, 2008 - Some of the cars competing this season will be showing off their 2008 looks as the Lebanon I-44 Speedway, along with the Monett Speedway, will be displayed this weekend at the Battlefield Mall in Springfield, Mo., starting Friday, March 7, and will be there all weekend long through March 9.

 
Midway Speedway announces practice dates
March 4, 2008 - The Midway Speedway in Lebanon, Mo., has announced two scheduled practice dates for the upcoming 2008 racing season. The track will host two Saturday afternoon dates with March 15 and March 22 being planned. Each day, drivers will be able to test and tune from 12 noon until around 3 p.m.

Lebanon I-44 Speedway gearing-up for Silver Anniversary Season
February 28, 2008 - It started 25 years ago as racefan and local businessman Bill Willard saw a need for local area racing as it was on a downward slide. Bill had some land right off Historic Route 66 and Interstate 44,jumped on his dozer and began moving trees, brush and everythingelse to create the then state-of-the-art Lebanon I-44 Speedway.
