Lake Country Speedway opener this Saturday


ARDMORE, Okla. -- Lake Country Speedway's 2011 racing season starts this Saturday, March 12, but the 3/8-mile clay oval will be christened the night before with practice on Friday from 5-9 p.m.

Track owner/promoter Virgil Page will be sanctioning USRA RHS Modifieds, USRA Western Flyer HotMods and USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Cars.

Modifieds will conform to the "alternative" rules while the Stock Car class will compete under the track's current class rules for the 2011 season.

Also on the Saturday night weekly program will be Limited Late Models, Hobby Stocks and Tornados.

"Hopefully this year will bring a lot of good change to LCS," said Tech Director Joe Freeman. "There have been many people involved with trying to make the track the best this year.

"Hats off to all of you that have supported or will be supporting the track. Let's get ready to go racin!"

Gates open Saturday at 5 p.m. Racers draw will close at 7 and racing will start at 7:30.

Grandstand tickets are $12 for ages 13 and up, kids ages 7-12 and seniors get in for $8 and children 6 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit passes are $25.
