Springfield Raceway hosts $1,000-to-win USRA RHS Modified race April 30


SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Adding to an even more exciting 2011 schedule, officials at the Springfield Raceway announced today that on Saturday, April 30, the USRA RHS Modified feature will pay $1,000 to the winner while the feature will offer $100 to start the main event.

The USRA RHS Modifieds headline the action on the quick quarter-mile dirt track every Saturday night and features one of the most talented field of weekly drivers in Southwest Missouri. This will be a Transport Graphics Championship track points race along with a USRA-sanctioned event. Drivers in the USRA Modified class will draw for heat race spots, earn passing points with the top 10 to 12 drivers redrawing starting spots for the 25-Lap feature event that evening in the scheduled 20-car field.

Payout is as follows: 1. $1000, 2. $500, 3. $300, 4. $240, 5. $200, 6. $180, 7. $160, 8. $150, 9. $130, 10. $125, 11. $120, 12-20. $110. Drivers competing in the last chance race and not making the "A" feature will recieve $55. There will be a $30 entry fee and pit passes will be $25 per person.

Action that evening will also feature Reliable Chevrolet SportMods, Wheeler Metals Pure Stocks, Pepsi Street Stocks, Missouri Legends and the ever-growing Casey's General Stores Midwest Modz.

Pit gates will open around 2:30 p.m. with the drivers meeting around 5, hot laps at 5:15 and racing to start at 6 p.m.
