SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Saturday, July 23, will mark the start of the second half of the racing season at the Springfield Raceway, and what a way to start as the USRA RHS Modifieds will have some bonus cash up for grabs for the winner thanks to a sponsor kicking in an extra $100.

Current season-long points leader Jackie Dalton of Carthage has a 59-point lead over Jody Tillman of Branson while defending track champion Mitch Keeter of Webb City is only 20 behind Tillman and Springfield's Erik Maggard just four markers behind Keeter.

Keeter has won the last two straight USRA RHS Modified features at the quick quarte-mile.

Grandstand gates open at 5 p.m. with racing at 7:15. Pit gates open at 4 with draw cut-off at 6:30.

Grandstand admission is only $10 for adults while kids ages 6-12 are $5 and under 6 are free. Pit passes are $25.
