Harris' "Night of 1,000 Stars" slated at Hancock County Speedway

BRITT, IA (July 16, 1999) - Both I.M.C.A. Sunoco Modifieds and I.M.C.A. Stock Cars will be running at the Hancock County Speedway, the night Harris Auto Racing presents "The Night of 1000 Stars."

First place in the Thursday, Aug. 12 feature for the Modifieds pays $2,000, with a $1,000 bonus should the dash winner agree to start at the back of the "A" main and also win that race.

The 24-car feature pays $200 to start. All non-qualifiers will get $75.

The NAPA Winner Series for I.M.C.A. Stock Cars feature the same evening at Britt has a $600 check going to the winner. Regular series contingencies awards will be given as well.

Entry fees for the Modifieds are $50 before Aug. 1 and $75 after that date, and can be mailed to the speedway at PO Box 237, Algona, Iowa, 50511.

Pit gates open at 5 p.m. Hot laps are at 7 p.m. and racing begins at 7:30 p.m.
