Stock Car driver Scott Johnson dies Dec. 4

WOOLSTOCK, Iowa (Dec. 14, 2001) – Scott Johnson, an I.M.C.A. Sunoco Stock Car driver from Woolstock, Iowa, died at his home after suffering a heart attack on Dec. 4.

Johnson raced this season at Hancock County Speedway in Britt, finishing fifth in the track point standings.

Survivors include his wife Tracy; sons Jeff and Jamie, and daughter Kayla, all at home.

Johnson been an I.M.C.A. member since 1995 and a group of friends he raced with has had window decals with his 12J car number made.

Those decals will be sold for $10 each and all proceeds will go to Johnson’s family. They are available at the Wildside Sports Tap or Terminator Chassis in Webster City.

Funeral services for Johnson were held Dec. 7. Burial was at Graceland Cemetery.
