LANSING, Minn. -- Mother Nature reared her ugly head again this week at Chateau Raceway. With severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings just to the west of the Lansing area, the races were cancelled late Friday afternoon. This was the second straight week the races were weathered out and the third time in four weeks.

Next Friday, May 11, is $5.00 “Pack The Stands” night at Chateau. Everyone will be admitted into the grandstand for five dollars. If you have never been to the speedway or it has been several years, come out next Friday to witness some great racing at a very affordable price. The night is sponsored by French’s Repair & Fabrication of Dodge Center and S&S Auto Salvage & Repair of Hayfield.

In action will be the USRA Modifieds, USRA B-Mods, WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds, WISSOTA Street Stocks, Pure Stocks and Hornets. Gates will open at 5:00 p.m. with hot laps at 7:00 p.m. with racing to follow. For more information please go to www.chateauraceway.net. Race day track phone number is (507) 433-4578.
