ELMA, Wash. -- The 2012 season has been full of cancellations in the Northwest which has left fans and race teams alike frustrated and disappointed. May 5th hoped to be the second race of the season but before anything could get started rain dampened all efforts to get the show in at the Grays Harbor Raceway. All hope is that the weather will cooperate next Saturday May 12th for fans to enjoy some terrific racing at the Elma speed factory.

Saturday will be Pepsi Sampling Night with free Pepsi samples available and classes include the Northwest Wingless Tour, USRA Modifieds, Hobby Stocks, and Hornets. Gates open at 2:30 for the pits and 4:30 for the grandstands with racing starting at 6:30. May 19th will see the return of both 360 Sprints and USAC Ford Focus Midgets as well as the USRA Modifieds and Hornets. The month will conclude with the ASCS-Northwest Region’s Spring Showdown on the 26th and 27th with USRA Modifieds and Hobby Stocks supporting the Sprints on both days as the support classes.

The Grays Harbor Raceway is known for its high speeds and side-by-side racing as well as its sheer large size.
