Father's Day features $750-to-win USRA Modified special at Lucas Oil Speedway

WHEATLAND, Mo. -- On Saturday, June 16, the Diamond of Dirt Tracks will celebrate Father's Day Weekend with a special $750-to-win Pitts Homes USRA Modified main event presented by Hermitage Lumber. The Ozarks Vintage Racing Association will also be showcasing and racing Vintage racecars from the 60's and 70's. The Weekly Racing Championship Series at the Lucas Oil Speedway has been intense all season long and will continue to turn it up through the heat of the summer.

In the Pitts Homes USRA Modifieds, Jason Russell from Henley is still on top of the points standings. Terry Schultz from Sedalia was in victory lane Saturday night and has moved up behind Russell in points. Local fan favorite Jason Pursley from Wheatland is in third.

Special guests from the Tri-Lakes Corvette Club will be on display. More than 20 pristine 'Vettes will fill up the spectator Midway. Be sure to bring Dad out early to enjoy the many displays. A special Dad's Diamond Dash will be held at intermission with an awesome Diamond Nationals Gift Pack being awarded to one awesome Dad in attendance.

Gates will open at 5 p.m. and hot laps will kick off at 7 with racing at 7:30. Adult general admission tickets are $12, seniors age 62+ and active military is $8, with youth ages 6-15 only $5. Kids 5 and under are always free. A Family Pass is also available and includes two adult admissions and up to three youth, with discounts on Famous Funnel Cakes, Go-Karts and in the Track Treasures Gift Shop for only $25.
