FAIRMONT, Minn. -- After two feature races in 48 hours, Tyler Droste has his second Industrial Material Surplus Iron Man Challenge victory after leading wire to wire at the Fairmont Raceway Thursday night.

The 16-year-old from Waterloo, Iowa, grabbed the lead from polesitter Jason Fisher at the start of the 18-lap USRA B-Mod main event, and then rolled to his third Iron Man win of the season.

A caution with six laps to go gave points leader Trevor Hunt a shot at the leader, but the 13-year-old was not able to muster a challenge to Droste who pocketed $500 for the win.

Ben Kates got by Hunt with four laps remaining, but Hunt battled back to reclaim the runner-up spot while Kates settled for a third-place finish ahead of Fisher and Nick Johansen.

Competing in their first Iron Man Challenge events of the 2012 campaign, Cullen Deruyder, Dustin Phillip, Dan Tenold, Tad Reutzel and Tyler Heetland finished sixth through tenth.

The Industrial Material Surplus Iron Man Challenge featuring USRA B-Mods will be in action Friday at the Highway 3 Raceway in Allison, Iowa, and wrap up the weekend on Saturday at the Upper Iowa Speedway in Decorah, Iowa.

Both events will pay $500 to win.

The next Iron Man Challenge event featuring the USRA Stock Cars will be Thursday, July 26, at the Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minn., when they will join the USMTS Modifieds at the 2nd Annual World Modified Dirt Track Championship presented by Hanson Tire Service.
