David Pope Memorial this Saturday at Super Bowl Speedway

GREENVILLE, Texas -- The biggest night of the season at the Super Bowl Speedway is on tap this Saturday, Aug. 11, for the inaugural David Pope Memorial. The event will feature a whopping $3,000-to-win main event for the USRA Modifieds, plus dozens of other great prizes and cash awards.

There will be lots of free stuff to be given away to the drivers, adults and kids for this unique event. There is no entry fee and the pit passes will not be any more expensive than a regular night. This race is in the memory of David Pope, and is meant to be all about the racers, crew members and the fans. All of the purse and prizes have been donated by friends, sponsors and the track.

There will be many donated prizes given to teams and fans alike. There will be a complete graphic wrap given away by drawing to a race car team by X-Treme Graphics, and one  race team will also be given complete crew shirts donated by Love Graphics. One driver will be given a custom helment paint job by Otto Air Brush, gift certificates from Day Motor Sports and Smiley's Racing Products, plus many other prizes donated to the teams by sponsors and friends alike.

These prizes will not be given to the winners, but by a drawing, so hopefully many drivers and their crews will benefit from the experience. There will also be prizes given out to the fans during the night, along with other exciting events such as skydivers and fireworks.

Gates open at 6 p.m. and races start at 8 p.m. Ticket prices are $10 for adults, kids ages 7-11 are $5 and children 6 and under are free. Seniors age 65 and older are just $5. Pit passes are $25.

Mullins Racing Engines will sponsor a USRA Modified Trophy Dash with $250 to win, and Muirhead Trucking has donated $500 for hard charger awards.
