Springfield Raceway falls to weather

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- With light mist and over 80% coming in by race time of wet weather, Springfield Raceway officials have cancelled Saturday night's event.

Action will resume next Saturday, Sept. 1, as the Transport Graphics Season Championships will be held along with the tribute to long time fan Wanda "Granny" Jeffries who passed away late last season.

Action will feature Budweiser USRA Modifieds, Reliable Chevrolet GM Performance USRA B-Mods, Casey's General Stores Midwest Modz, Wheeler Metals Legends and Young Lions, Pepsi Pure Stocks and Williams Lawn Care & Preservation Street Stocks with Racing at 7:30 p.m.
