German takes Willamette Speedway paycheck back to Evergreen State

LEBANON, Ore. -- On Saturday, Sept. 15, defending Grays Harbor Raceway USRA Modified champion Joe German from Wishkah made the trip down to Willamette Speedway to take the paycheck back to the Evergreen State.

Inheriting the lead after two drivers spun while pacing the field German covered the field once racing recommenced.

German is now the seventh different points victor in USRA Modified action at the Lebanon facility, and broke a four-race win streak that Kyle Yeack of Crawfordsville had established.

Willamette Speedway will have the final point race of the year on the 1/3-mile oval on Saturda, Sept. 22. However two events remain after next Saturday with the Tuff Trucks and Trash Cars competing on September 29th and the annual Fall Classic taking place on October 6th. The Karts will be back in action on Friday 21st to kick the weekend action off with the End Of Summer Bash which spectators wanting to watch the action from the grandstands get into the races for free.
