FLIPPIN, Ark. -- The final night of the 2012 race season got underway with rainy weather threatening to affect the race program, but as race time neared the rain began to move out of the area and the crowd was treated to some of the best racing of the season this evening at North Central Arkansas Speedway.

Jason Snodgrass and Rob Muilenburg led the field to the starting line of the USRA Modified feature race, and the high line proved the place to be with Muilenburg moving quickly to the lead followed closely by Kandy Methvin who started outside row 2.

Muilenburg opened up an early lead on Methvin but by lap 7, Methvin was right on the back bumper of Muilenburg as the two fought nose to tail for the lead when the first of four cautions came out on lap 8 for a driveshaft on the track, left behind by Kyle Cotter.

With Methvin lined up inside row two behind Muilenburg for the restart, Methvin found some traction on the bottom of the track and moved to the front on lap nine. Steve Muilenburg was slowly working his way towards the front through the first half of the race, but a flat tire on lap 10 sent him to the rear for a restart.

Methvin used the last two restarts well, getting good starts as he kept Rob behind him for the remainder of the race. Steve Muilenburg was able to move back up to third by lap 19, but Ray Flippin used a lap-19 pass to get past Steve Muilenburg and claim third on the night.

North Central Arkansas Speedway would like to thank all of the fans and drivers who turned out for the 2012 race season and looks forward to seeing everyone back again in 2013. NCAS will be on the track in 2013 with another full of racing action and several special events planned for the speedway.
