Springfield Raceway cancels March Madness

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Due to scheduling conflicts, officials at the Springfield Raceway have decided to cancel the 2nd Annual March Madness featuring the MARS Super Late Models along with USRA Modifieds, USRA B-Mods, Midwest Modz and Legends Cars.

"Weather has forced other series and tracks to push out their events and this makes it a no-win situation for the drivers and fans both," quoted co-owner Jerry Hoffman.

This will now place the opening race on Saturday, April 20, as Budweiser will present the ASCS Warrior and Sooner 360 Winged Sprint Cars along with support classes while the 2013 chase for the championship will begin on Saturday, April 27, featuring USRA Modifieds, USRA B-Mods, Legends Cars, Midwest Modz, Young Lions Legends, Street Stocks and Pure Stocks.
