Dotson fends off Russell at Lucas Oil Speedway

WHEATLAND, Mo. -- Saturday night at the Lucas Oil Speedway, Coyote 107.9 Night plus the 4th Annual Business Expo kicked off at 4 p.m. with nearly 40 local businesses on display. Tons of great give-a-ways, drawings, activities and displays gave fans a variety of opportunities to take home some loot! A special thank you to all of the local company's for participating in the growing annual event.

Two weeks of poor weather conditions put race teams on hiatus. Saturday's perfect spring weather brought out more than 120 cars and a large crowd.

The Pitts Homes USRA Modified Coca-Cola feature rolled out third for the night with Matt Dotson able to edge Jason Russell for the win. Russell started mid-pack and worked his way to the front. Terry Schultz finished third.

Steve Muilenburg wheeled two cars for the night. After winning the B-Mod feature, he ran fourth in the USRA Modified Coca-Cola feature. Wheatland's Jason Pursley completed the top 5.

The Lucas Oil Weekly Championship Series will be back in action on Saturday, May 18, for Bolivar Herald Free-Press Night presented by KDKD and the Eagle. Check out the Bolivar Herald Free-Press this week for a discount coupon. Any FREE or Promotional tickets from KDKD, the Eagle or Countdown to Summer Vacation/Teacher Appreciation Night - April 28th may be used on Saturday, May 18th.
