LANSING, Minn. -- The Chateau Raceway in Lansing, Minn., and Brew Pub Pizza will entice the USRA Modified drivers who redraw the front row for the feature events this season. The “Brew Pub Pizza Front Row Challenge” will be in effect every Friday night and will also include the two USMTS Casey's Cup Series shows on May 24 and Aug. 30.

The new bonus program was the brainchild of Bernatello’s sales representative Bob Braaten and it works this way: It gives the front row starters of the USRA Modified feature a choice to start at the back of the feature event. Then if a driver can race their way from the back and win the race, that driver will take home the bonus money.

The challenge started last week and defending USRA Modified track and national champion Brandon Davis was offered the opportunity to start at the tail. Davis, who redrew the pole position, declined the offer for a possible $500 bonus on top of the $600 he would receive for winning the feature.

Each week the front row starters of the USRA Modified feature will be given the chance to start in the final row and try to win from the back. If one of those two drivers accomplishes the feat, they will collect the bonus money from Brew Pub Pizza. If the drivers choose to keep their positions or are unsuccessful in the challenge the bonus will increase by $100 each week until it is claimed. When the bonus is collected, it will start over at $500 the following week.
