First off is the fact that Carl Edwards' 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup #99 Fastenal Ford Fusion will be on display at the track throughout the evening! Mississippi Thunder Speedway owners Bob & Paula Timm and Tom & Tina Lockner are thrilled about Fastenal's involvement with the weekly event at MTS.

"For the second year in a row, we're really excited to have Fastenal along for the ride," said Timm, "With Fastenal’s involvement, we’ll have a night full of prizes, fun in the stands, on-track action, and also the ability to present the #99 Fastenal Ford Fusion to the crowd. We know that all of this combined will be a real treat for our race fans."

This Friday night, June 7th, race fans can get "up close and personal" with an actual Roush Fenway Racing 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup #99 Fastenal Ford Fusion less than two weeks after its most recent on-track action which provided Edwards with a strong 11th place finish in the 54Th Annual Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway and two weeks before it’s on the track again at Michigan International Speedway for the Quicken Loans 400. Carl Edwards is currently enjoying a very strong 2013 season behind the wheel of his #99 Ford Fusion; Edwards is currently second in the point standings (just 30 points behind current point leader Jimmie Johnson) with one win, five top-5 and seven top-10 finishes!

The appearance of Carl Edwards' #99 Fastenal Ford continues an effort by Mississippi Thunder Speedway owners to not only bring the best dirt-track racing action in the area to local race fans . . . but to also present many other exciting and high-profile attractions to the fans as well. For example, since the 2009 grand opening of Mississippi Thunder Speedway, race fans have been treated to specials such as NASCAR star Ken Schrader racing at the fast 1/3-mile track, 1961 Daytona 500 Winner Marvin Panch joining the fans to chat, sign autographs and enjoy a night of racing action, as well as many other exciting special moments.
