Free admission at Chateau Raceway this Friday

LANSING, Minn. -- This Friday, June 14 is deemed “Fan Appreciation Night” at the Chateau Raceway. This year’s event will really be special to the fans as there is no admission charge at the front gate. That is correct, you read that right, this Friday’s race night is free admission to the speedway. Everyone that shows up will get in free to witness a great night of racing.

The Toot family that operates the facility wanted to do something special to show their gratitude for everyone’s support of the speedway since they took over the operation. This event will give everyone the opportunity to come out and watch some racing that may not have been to the speedway before.

Some great partners of the speedway have come together to make this event possible. Former racer Larry Nelson owns L&D Ag of Hartland, Minn., and they design, manufacture and install fertilizer and chemical application equipment for agriculture. Please visit their website at www.ld-ag.com for more information on their service and products.

The Misgen name has been involved at the speedway for a long time not only as a sponsor but as racers also. Misgen Auto Parts was formed in 1972 by Francis (L.B.) Misgen as a county clean-up project. People started calling on the search for parts and the company has grown from there. Customers can bring their own tools and pull their own parts from the u-pull section or have the Misgen crew perform a part search and have them remove the parts for you. You can visit their website at www.misgen.com for all the services they provide.

Farm Boy BBQ Sauce in St. Ansgar, Iowa, has jumped into the motorsports spectrum in the past few years and have been a great addition to many racetracks and teams in this area. Farm Boy BBQ has won numerous awards across the United States in sauce, brisket, chicken, pork shoulder and rib contests. The Chateau Raceway features their sauce at the concession stand or you can purchase online at www.farmboybbq.com

The action on the track will feature with USRA Modifieds and USRA B-Mods, plus Stock Cars, WISSOTA Street Stocks, WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds, Pure Stocks and Hornets. Fans are reminded that front gates will open at 5:30 p.m. with the races to begin at 7 p.m.

More excitement will be added if a driver accepts the Brew Pub Pizza Front Row Challenge. The drivers that redraw the front row for the USRA Modified feature race have a unique opportunity. Whoever pulls the number one or two pill can forfeit that spot and drop to the back of the lineup. If they come from the back and win they collect the bonus, which is now up to $800. Combine that with the $600 first place earnings and that would total $1,400 if a driver accomplishes the feat.

The Chateau Raceway is located just 5-miles north of Austin on Hwy 218, then take a right on County Road 2 for a 1.3 miles. Then turn right on County Road 25 and look for the signs on the left side of the road. Please visit www.chateauraceway.net for further information on the speedway.
