CRANDALL, Texas -- David Pope thrilled race fans with his on-track driving style at several North Texas tracks throughout the years in his familiar #54 car. For 25 of those years David raced in Crandall, and now race fans and teams alike can celebrate his friendship and dedication to the sport with the running of the 2nd Annual David Pope Memorial event at RPM Speedway in Crandall, Texas.

The event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 7. The finishing order of the six-lap dash will comprise the front three rows of the Championship feature race.
