Lucas Oil Speedway banquet set for Nov. 2 at Springfield's University Plaza

WHEATLAND, Mo. -- Officials with Lucas Oil Speedway are pleased to announce the annual Lucas Oil Speedway Championship Banquet will be held on Saturday, Nov. 2, at the University Plaza Hotel and Convention Center in Springfield.

The banquet will include dinner and a formal program to honor the top-10 drivers in the USRA Modified division, along with each of the other three Lucas Oil Speedway classes.

"With the tremendous talent and growth that we have seen in our weekly racing series over the past couple of seasons, a change in venue for the banquet was necessary to accommodate the large crowd of racers, crews, sponsors and fans that attend the festivities each year," commented the track's General Manager, Dan Robinson.

University Plaza is located in downtown Springfield near Hammons Field and Hammons Tower. The street address is 333 John Q. Hammons Parkway.

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with a social hour from 6-7 followed by dinner and the awards program. A cash bar will also be available.

Group guest room rates including a standard room w/king bed or dbl/dbl is available for $79 based on availability.
