Christy Georges won the USRA B-Mod feature on Friday, May 2, at the El Paso (Texas) Speedway Park.

EL PASO, Texas -- The 35th anniversary season opener for the USRA B-Mods was "dynamite" plus the Out West Express USRA Stock Cars continued thier season in race No. 2 of the El Paso Speedway Park 2014 season.

Ten Out West Express USRA Stock Cars checked in for battle. At the start Jon McDaniel checked out and was gone! No one could catch him. Anthony Vega was the only car up to speed with McDaniel but had nothing for him.

A single file race it was in the front. In the back Michael Medina would fight to stay in the top five with Justin Lasiter, Jesse Holmes and Robert Vega. Those four drivers went three-wide and side-by-side for position all night. Alamogordo, N.M., racer McDaniel took the win after an upsetting eighth-place finish last week.

The 20-lap USRA B-Mod main event was stacked as they had 16 check in. At the green Carlos Ahumada Jr. had one of his best runs ever, as he took to lead by a whole straight-away. Patrick Carney and Christy Georges followed, but later a yellow flew for Ahumada, who spun by himself.

Carney, the 2012 track champion, showed the way with Georges all over him. Georges tried the top but nothing was there for her. She stuck it on the bottom of turn 2 and took the lead lead from Carney and then checked out.

Paddy Rush fought to second and had company from Ahumada, who drove the wheels off his machine to get back to second. Rush came home third.

Jon McDaniel won the USRA Stock Car feature on Friday, May 2, at the El Paso (Texas) Speedway Park.

A 2014 interesting season is what to come up after tonight. Next Friday night, May 9, is the return of the Barnett Harley Davidson USRA Modifieds, Out West Express USRA Stock Cars, Southwest Late Models presented by Indy Screen Print, Hornets and the Bombers.
