Schultz, Muilenburg visit Lucas Oil Speedway victory lane

WHEATLAND, Mo. -- With over 110 cars jamming the pits on a balmy May evening this past Saturday, May 10th at Lucas Oil Speedway and the cameras of KSPR rolling, Terry Schultz and Steve Muilenburg visited the RACEceiver victory lane.

The Tri-Lakes RV USRA B-Mods were the first class to roll for their main event as second place starter Derek Brown shot to the early lead with Kris Jackson, Ryan Edde and Mike Streigel pressing the leader. As the leaders battled wheel to wheel, Sparta, Missouri's Steve Muilenburg worked his way up from his eighth starting spot ultimately taking the lead and the win. Defending track champion Kris Jackson settled for the runner-up spot with Streigel taking third at the finish. Derek Brown slipped back to fourth at the finish with Jake Edwards charging from his fourteen starting spot to finish in fifth.

In Pitts Homes USRA Modified action, Travis Smith set the early pace with Steve Muilenburg hot on his heels but 2013 Track Champion Schultz found his way to the front to take the win. Smith and Muilenburg settled for second and third respectively in the final results. Another former track champion Jason Russell finished fourth at the finish followed by Hutchinson, KS driver Brandon Givens in fifth.

Lucas Oil Speedway has one final Budweiser Weekly Series event next Saturday, May 17th with Bolivar Herald-Free Press Night before the stars and cars of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and the Lucas Oil MLRA invade the town for the 22nd Annual Lucas Oil Show-Me 100 Presented by ProtectTheHarvest.com on May 22-24th.
