LANSING, Minn. -- Race fans took advantage of free admission for Fan Appreciation Night at the Chateau Raceway as the facility was packed to the gills. The program was made possible with the help of Misgen Auto Parts, L&D Ag and Farm Boy BBQ Sauce, and there were also many prize giveaways for the fans in attendance.

The L&D Ag USRA B-Mod feature got off to a rocky start as four cars tangled on 1 one. Jerry Young held the lead but on a restart after a lap-2 caution something happened to Young and he shot off the track in turn 2 and triggered another caution.

Michael Wytaske took over from there and led the rest of the way for his first ever USRA B-Mod win. Wytaske has had some good runs for far this year and it was a popular win for the driver who lives about a block from the track.

A.J. Zvorak took second after a great battle with Josh Mattick and Kadden Kath as those three went at it the entire race. Taylor Ausrud turned in a fine run to finish out the top five.

The French’s Repair & Fabrication USRA Modified feature was a dandy 25-lap race. Joe Horgdal led early on with Todd Scharkey on the chase. Scharkey screamed past on lap 5 while Jason Cummins, who started eighth, was up to third on lap 7. Cummins reeled in Horgdal on lap 13 and then made the pass for second one circuit later.

Scharkey was checked out up front with a half straight-away lead. Cummins and Horgdal slowly began to catch up with the leader. Cummins got to Scharkey on lap 16 and was making his move in the low groove.

A yellow flag came out on lap 19 and that really tightened things up. Cummins again drove to the bottom with Scharkey up on the top of the track. They went door to door on lap 22 as Cummins snuck past for the lead in turn 4.

There was one more yellow to set off a two-lap shoot-out to the checkered flag. Cummins held on for the win while Horgdal got by Scharkey for second at the line. Jacob Dahle and Doug Hillson finished fourth and fifth.
