Races for June 14 cancelled at Deer Creek Speedway

SPRING VALLEY, Minn. -- Due to the recent showers, current conditions and the pending forecast officials from Deer Creek Speedway have been forced to cancel tonight's events.

Racing action is scheduled to resume next Saturday, June 21st as the USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship will head north for a visit to Minnesota for the first time since 1988 thanks to the great folks at The New Smitty's Tavern.

Also competing in front of what's expected to be a packed house are the WISSOTA Super Stocks, WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds and the WISSOTA Street Stocks.

Fans will get an extra bang for their buck as the Truck Country Slingshots will be competing that afternoon at 3:00 on the recently resurfaced high banks of Button Buck Speedway located in the middle of Deer Creek Speedway. Don't forget that the afternoon events are FREE in the grandstands!

Kids on hand for the event will get to take part in the Deer Creek Speedway Kids Club and the ever popular free face painting.

General admission tickets for the event can be purchased at the ticket window on the day of the event. Kids 12 & under are $10 and adults are $25. Pit passes are $35 and can be purchased at the pit gate entrance.
