Bidinger, Powell, Hensler superior at Lakeside Speedway

KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- Nic Bidinger made it four out of the last six by winning the USRA Modified feature Friday night at the Lakeside Speedway. Leading every lap, Bidinger was initially challenged by Terry Schultz, who dropped back due to mechanical issues. Trevor Hunt ran strong, making his presence known early and often but would wind up in third, behind Darron Fuqua. Mark Schafman would end up battling Tyler Schmidt, who started eighth, for the last half of the race and the two would finish out the top-five, respectively.

Tim Powell has now won the last two of three in the USRA B-Mod division. Yancy Shephard ran strong the first third of the race until an early caution ended his night prematurely, giving the lead to Powell. While Chad Clancy would give chase, Powell would not be denied and Clancy would take second. Ed Noll ran a strong race to finish third while Jake Richards and Randal Schiffelbein rounded out the top-five.

The USRA Stock Car division feature featured a first-time winner as Dean Hensler scooted to victory lane after the 15-lap event. While Joe Smith Jr had the fast car early on, it was Hensler who ran the most consistent laps and took home the trophy. The Weatherby Lake, MO driver took the lead on lap-four and held off Smith as well as current point leader, Brett Heeter. Smith and Heeter would finish second and third. Phil Snodgrass and Anthony Whitham rounded out the top-five.
