WHEATLAND, Mo. -- This Thursday, July 3, Casey's General Stores presents a special Thursday Night Thunder edition of the Lucas Oil Speedway Budweiser Weekly Racing Series. The Lake Area's Wildest Fireworks Show will light up the night sky at the conclusion of the racing program as we celebrate our Nation's Independence.

As part of the evening's "Salute to America" all Veterans with ID and Scouts in Uniform will be admitted FREE.

Classes in action include the ALPS Food Stores ULMA Late Models, the Pitts Homes USRA Modifieds, the Carson's Corner Napa Factory Stocks, and the Tri-Lakes RV USRA B-Mods.

The ALPS Food Stores ULMA Late Models will be the featured class of the evening as they run a special 25-lap, $1,000 to win main event courtesy of Rains Ice in the first leg of the 2014 ULMA Triple Crown Shootout.

A pair of Lockwood, Missouri drivers sit atop the ALPS Food Store ULMA Late Model standings with Jake Williams holding a slim two point lead over Dwight Niehoff. Lebanon, Missouri's Brian Schutt has closed the gap in the third spot, as the 2013 Lucas Oil Speedway Factory Stock Champion now sits just eight points out of the lead. Cross Timbers, Missouri driver J.D. Hubert and Harrisonville, Missouri's Ethan Young round out the top-5.

Archie, Missouri's Tim Setzer continues to have his way in the Pitts Homes USRA Modifieds as the veteran driver holds a 46 point lead over Jeff Cutshaw. Local favorite Jason Pursley sits just 50 points out of the lead and only four points behind Cutshaw. Defending USRA Modified Track Champion Jason Russell and Fair Grove, Missouri's Mickey Burrell sit fourth and fifth respectively.

David Hendrix continues to lead the points standings in the Carson's Corner Napa Factory Stocks. The battle for second is intense as Marc Carter out of Warrensburg occupies the second spot over Kenny Carroll as the two are separated by just four points. A pair of Wheatland, Missouri drivers, Randy Gilmore and Chip Shaddox are knotted in fourth with 308 points each.

Finally, in the Tri-Lakes RV USRA B-Mods, 2-time and defending Lucas Oil Speedway track champion Kris Jackson has extended his lead to 41 points over Wheatland's Mike Striegel as Jackson looks to secure his third championship in a row. Andy Bryant of Fort Scott, Kansas continues to remain in striking distance as the 14-year old first year Lucas Oil Speedway driver sits in third just 81 points out of the top spot. Stephen Muilenburg holds down the fourth position while Nevada, Missouri's Dustin Campbell has moved into the fifth spot.
