Jacob Bleess visited victory lane for the 11th time this season.

CRESCO, Iowa -- No lead was safe on Sunday night at the Cresco Speedway.

The action began right away with the USRA Hobby Stocks. After starting on pole and jumping out to a sizable lead, Steve Larson found himself facing on coming traffic bringing out the first caution of the evening. Larson was put to the back of the pack and Scott Spilde took over the top spot on the restart.

The yellow was waved a few times throughout the race, but Splide showed dominance all night. As Spilde took the white flag, the rest of the field jockied for second, third and fourth positions. Entering corners 1-2, Splide lost control of his machine and Nate Lerch was there to capitalize on the veteran's mistake.

Lerch led only one lap of the feature event, but he claimed his second win of the season. He was followed by Steve Holthaus, Spilde, Brady Link and Andy Stinson.

The USRA Stock Car class began with a multiple-car pile-up in corners 3-4 on lap 1. Once the debris and torn up cars were taken off the track, Danny Sacquitne and Kyle Falck began to brawl for the top spot.

Wiggling his way through the field, Lynn Panos was able to close the gap on Sacquitne and Falck. As the laps being to dwindle down, Panos made the pass on Falck to drive his way into victory lane for the first time this year at the Cresco Speedway.

Panos, followed by Falck, Tom Schmitt, Shay Curtin and Shawn Peter, put the cap on the night for the USRA Stock Cars.

The USRA B-Mods saw multiple leaders on Sunday night. The night began with polesitter Parker Kessel jumping out to a two-car-length lead. After multiple cautions, Kessel’s top spot was snagged away by Dan Hovden and Matt Jones, who worked his way into second place and the fans were treated with yet another Hovden-Jones donnybrook.

As the two rivals began to separate from the field, another yellow was thrown midway through the race. Unfortunately, a mechanical problem caused Hovden's ride to come to a halt in corners 1-2. Jones then took over the top spot, followed by Ben Moudry and Jacob Bleess.

The stage was set for the final laps and it was none other than the “Chatfield Cheetah” himself making the pass on Jones with two laps remaining. Bleess scored another win on Sunday night and that puts him at 11 on the season in his USRA B-Mod class.

Bleess was followed by Jones, Chris Weigert, Ben Moudry and Todd Schaufenbuel as they dropped the curtain on the show at the Cresco Speedway Sunday night.
