HARTFORD, S.D. -- "Either I wreck something or it's mechanical. It's feels good to get the monkey off my back," said Dustin Kruse who has been so close to victory lane in several trips to I-90 Speedway. It seemed odd that Kruse was without a win at the track when checking the records! But Kruse led all 15 laps of Saturday's USRA B-Mod feature with Cody Ahrendt and Tim Dann right behind him at the finish line. Tim Dann's third place finish allowed him to take over the points lead from Brock Hess. Dann, the defending B-Mod champion, now leads Dave Kennedy by 11 points.

For many, the green/white/checker finish of the USRA Hobby Stock A-Main made up for a race plagued by caution flags and the time limit. The race was red-flagged on the third lap as Charlie Koepp made contact with the outside wall on the frontstretch. After more cautions, track officials dropped the feature to a green/white/checker finish that saw Zach Olivier scoot past Brian Hoing in the final corner to take his third win of the season. "I love this track," said Olivier in victory lane. For his efforts, he took home a five-foot-tall trophy which flagman Chuck Hanisch sponsors once each season. Hoing hung on for second with Dustin Gulbrandson a close third. Mike Chaney was involved in an early accident on the frontstretch. He was unable to continue, causing him to lose the points lead to Gulbrandson.

Schoeneman's Building Materials Center presents Paramount Racing Series action this Saturday night with hot laps beginning at 6:30 p.m. Racing follows at 7:00. In two weeks the Late Models return to I-90 Speedway for one night as Arby's presents the Late Model Challenge ($750 to win/$200 to start).
