Brigman bags North Central Arkansas Speedway USRA B-Mod checkers

YELLVILLE, Ark. -- Very hot and humid conditions were the background setting for tonight’s racing action at North Central Arkansas Speedway.

The USRA B-Mod feature race went green with Justin Rigal and Shawn Ply on the front row. Ply got out front to lead lap one, holding the lead until lap eight when Jason Brigman put his ride out front. Caution slowed the field for the second of three times on lap nine when a multi-car accident thinned the field for the last half of the race. Ply had his hands full with Rigal for laps nine through thirteen before taking over second on lap fourteen. As Brigman pulled away for the win, Rigal pursued the leader and claimed the second spot at the end with Tony Meyers moving past Ply late to take home third.

North Central Arkansas Speedway is located between Yellville and Flippin on Hwy. 62-412. The gates open at 6:00, with the racing starting at 8:00. Adult admission - $10; seniors and those with a military ID Card - $8; children 7-14 years of age - $5; kids 6 and under get in free. A family plan is just $20 for 2 adults and any children 14 and under, and a pit pass is available for $25.
