KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- USRA B-Mod national points leader Chad Clancy continued his winning ways Friday night by picking up the feature win at the Lakeside Speedway. Following Clancy to the checkers was a nip-and-tuck battle between Ed Noll, who placed second, and Yancy Shepard finishing third.

With a torn up race car, coming from the back of the pack, Randal Schiffelbein Jr. impressed all in attendance with his aggressive fourth-place finish. Luke Nieman was among the leaders early only to fade in the later stages to finish fifth.

Heat race winners included Clancy, Noll, Doug Keller and Nieman.

As usual, the USRA Stock Cars put on an edge-of-the-seat, nail-biting, race to the finish with Brett Heeter narrowly beating John O’Neal Jr. to the line by mere inches. Heeter came from deep in the pack, running down O’Neal for the win. Early race leader Kevin Anderson faded slightly to finish third, with Marshall Jewett fourth. Gene Stigall again showed a solid performance by rounding out the top five.

Heat race winners were Jewett, O’Neal and Anderson.

In a caution-free feature, the USRA Modifieds witnessed points leader Nic Bidinger lead every lap on his way to the McCarthy Auto Group Winner’s Circle. Bidinger was never really challeneged as racing action behind him saw Tyler Schmidt place second.

Kerry Davis mounted a gallant effort only to come up a little short and fade late to place third. Jared Steins  was the big mover of the race by using the high line to finish fourth, moving Chad Lyle to the fifth position.

Heat race winners were Bidinger and Tim Karrick.
