ARDMORE, Okla. -- The Texas Outlaw Modified Series ventured north of the border to compete at the magnificent Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore, Okla., on Saturday night. The track was racy and the USRA Modified drivers used every bit of it from top to bottom as they raced four- and five-wide throughout the field.

Troy Taylor took the early lead until Clyde Dunn Jr. found his way around to take the point. Meanwhile, Cody Smith was charging from the rear of the field with his sights set on Dunn. A mid-race caution set up the showdown as Smith was in a prime position to overtake the TOMS points leader. Running the high side, Smith would push a bit too much and wind up looping in turn 4.

Dunn would roll to the win with Wesley Veal making his way to second as the top two in points would finish 1-2 to set up an exciting run to the series points championship.
