SPRING VALLEY, Minn.--Throughout the week cool temps and precipitation fell on the grounds of Deer Creek Speedway. Officials worked through the challenges early in the week but were forced to shut down late Thursday night and were not able to fire back up on Friday.

The team met on Friday night to discuss a game plan to get week number two of the season in and as talks went on it came down to one thing. Saturday morning had to come with sunshine and higher temps to give us a chance. Unfortunately race
fans Saturday started with more of the same cool temps, damp conditions and a forecast calling for more.

Because of this officials have been forced to cancel all events scheduled for April 25th.

The action will pick back up next Saturday, May 2nd with an afternoon practice session on Button Buck Speedway for the Slingshot division from 2:00-4:00. It's also an exciting weekend for the young ones as the Kids Club Kick-Off Party is scheduled for 4:30.

All five weekly classes will hit the high banks and fans will get an extra bang for their buck as they'll get to see two USRA Modified feature events.
