Mother Nature scores second win of 2015 at Lucas Oil Speedway

WHEATLAND, Mo.--Despite the best efforts of the Lucas Oil Speedway staff, Mother Nature ultimately won out this past Saturday as rain showers moved in just as the cars were ready to take the track for hot laps. A secondary issue with the speedway power grid apparently caused by lightning strikes also created unsafe conditions for the racers ultimately forcing Lucas Oil Speedway Officials to cancel the remainder of the evening.

"We gave it our best shot and I apologize to the fans, drivers, and crew members that made the trek to the speedway this Saturday. We had full intentions of getting the racing action in but the power outages were something we couldn't have predicted and became the deciding factor to cancel the remainder of the evening." stated Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Dan Robinson.

Fans that attended the event were handed "rain checks" upon exiting the facility. These rain checks are good for any remaining weekly race in 2015 at no additional charge or for any special event provided you pay the difference in the ticket price.

Pit bands purchased by drivers and crew members will also be good for any future weekly race at no additional charge or for any special event provided you pay the difference in the price of the pit pass.

Fans MUST have the rain check in their possession to receive admission to a future race. Simply having an unused ticket will not be accepted. The pit band is the rain check for the drivers and crew.

All rain checks and applicable pit bands must be used in 2015.

This coming Saturday, May 16th Oil & Octane Shop in Springfield, Missouri along with Mid-West Family Broadcasting present another great night of Lucas Oil Speedway Budweiser Weekly Racing Series action which includes the ALPS Food Store ULMA Late Models, the Pitts Homes USRA Modifieds, the Carson's Corner Napa Factory Stocks, and the Tri-Lakes RV USRA B-Mods.
