Night of firsts at I-90 Speedway

HARTFORD, S.D.--It was a good thing to be in the lead at I-90 Speedway on Saturday night. Every feature winner led every A-Main lap on a night of firsts.

Kevin Joachim cruised to victory in the USRA B-Mod main event. Joachim started on the pole and his competition came from Tyler Tesch (second) and Nick Barger (third).

Tracy Halouska's first career I-90 Speedway win came in the USRA Hobby Stock feature. Halouska started sixth in a race filled with cautions.

As Halouska was setting the pace, he was also getting serioius challenges from Tim Waltner and Mike Chaney. On lap five, Waltner got into the back of Halouska coming out of turn two. Halouska's car got loose and was hit by Waltner's bringing out a caution flag. It was also at that time that the time limit shaved six laps off the 12 lap A-Main.

Chaney had been running right behind Halouska prior to the green-white-checkered finish. If he was waiting for Halouska to make a mistake it never happened. Chaney couldn't get by Halouska over the final two laps.

Budweiser presents "Racin' Sanity Night" at I-90 Speedway Saturday, May 30. Hot laps begin at 6:30 p.m. with racing at 7:00.
