Aaron DeThury won his very first feature at I-90 Speedway Saturday night in the USRA Hobby Stock class.

HARTFORD, S.D.—An 18-car USRA Hobby Stock field was part of an exciting night of racing at I-90 Speedway Saturday. With the track in great condition again the USRA Hobby Stocks raced for added purse money from Gary's Tire Service in Sioux Falls.

Polesitter Aaron DeThury, fresh off a heat win, built an early cushion over the rest of the field. He was undeterred by a couple of cautions and beat points leader Dustin Gulbrandson to the finish line. DeThury's best feature finish before Saturday was seventh.

"We had a lot of help getting dialed in," said DeThury in victory lane.

Add his name to a list of 10 drivers who have won features this year in the unpredictable USRA Hobby Stock division at I-90 Speedway.

The move of the night, without question, came in the USRA B-Mod Feature. Dave Kennedy was on the hunt for a second straight win as he led the first nine laps. Tim Dann had been trying to get by. He did on lap 10. As Kennedy fought back, he pulled even with Dann on the 12th lap.

But Miah Christensen came from out of nowhere—well, actually the fifth row—and split the two cars beautifully in turn 4 to take the lead. Three laps later the checkered flag was his. Dann was seconed. Kevin Joachim passed Kennedy late in the race to finish third. Christensen's pass was still the talk after the races. The win was his fourth this year at I-90.

Another tailgate party is scheduled for Saturday night. Fans can come early for the tailgate party from 4-5:30 p.m. and get into the races for just $6. Late Model Street Stocks and Sprint Cars will be on display inside the front gate and fans can visit with the drivers. The concession stand will be open during the tailgate party with a full menu! Also, the tailgate party for USRA B-Mods and Super Chargers is scheduled for Aug. 29. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. with racing at 7 every Saturday night through Sept. 5.
