MEMPHIS, Mo. -- This Saturday night, May 21, Trump Trucks and Sonny’s Collision will present the first of four Late Model specials this season at the Bentz GM Country Scotland County Speedway. In addition to the high-speed dirt door-slammers, the USRA Casey's General Stores Championship Series -- featuring USRA Modifieds, Stock Cars, Hobby Stocks and B-Modifieds -- along with the Cruisers and Hornets, are also on tap for an exciting seven-division racing card.

With warm temperatures and a dry weather forecast for Saturday, the Bentz GM Country Scotland County Speedway is also gearing up to honor all branches of the United States Armed Forces and members of civil defense organizations with a special Armed Forces Day presented by Trump Trucks and Sonny’s Collision.

According to the United States Department of Defense, President Harry S. Truman led the effort to establish a single holiday for citizens to come together and thank our military members for their patriotic service in support of our country. On August 31, 1949, Secretary of Defense Louis Johnson announced the creation of an Armed Forces Day to replace separate Army, Navy, Marines Corp and Air Force Days. The single-day celebration stemmed from the unification of the Armed Forces under one department -- the Department of Defense.

Admission is absolutely FREE for all race fans presenting their military identification card. General admission for adults is $10, seniors and students are $7 and kids 11 and under are admitted for FREE.

Gates will open at 5 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:15, with racing to follow.

The Bentz GM Country Scotland County Speedway continues to offer one of the most lucrative weekly payouts in the state of Missouri. In addition, USRA-licensed drivers compete against drivers from other USRA-sanctioned tracks for a share of the USRA Casey's General Stores Championship Series national points fund.
