Joe Berry B-Mod Showdown opens busy October at Lakeside

KANSAS CITY, Kan.—This coming Friday, Oct., 2, the Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan., will host the inaugural Joe Berry B-Mod Showdown featuring $1,500 to win for the USRA B-Mods. USRA Modifieds, USRA Stock Cars and Grand Nationals will also be running.

In addition to the $1,500 top prize, the main event will pay , and all drivers competing will earn at least $50 tow money. Track points will be awarded in all classes, and the three USRA-sanctioned divisions will earn USRA national points.

There is no regular-season registration fee in any class. USRA B-Mod drivers that have raced twice or more at Lakeside this season have a $25 entry fee, while those that have raced just one time or not at all in 2015 will have a $50 entry fee. Drivers that do not have a USRA license can purchase a USRA Temporary License for just $10.

Gates open at 5 p.m., hot laps start at 6:45 and racing begins at 7:30 p.m. Adults grandstand tickets are $12, kids ages 7-12 are $6 and children ages 6 and under are admitted free with a paid adult. Military personnel, students and seniors over 62 get in for $10 with proper i.d. Pit passes are $30.

The Lakeside Speedway Season Championship will take place the following Friday, Oct. 9, and the 2015 slate will wrap up with the 2nd Annual USRA National Championships on Thursday, Friday  and Saturday, Oct. 15-17.
