CP-Carrillo powering USMTS, USRA racers in 2016

IRVINE, Calif.—The leader in the high-performance piston market, CP-Carrillo is now the Official Pistons & Rods of both the United States Modified Touring Series and United States Racing Association.

Officials announced the partnership today that will create real relief to the pocketbooks of drivers and engine builders, and help keep the U.S. in USMTS and USRA.

As the global economic climate continues to change, CP-Carrillo recently introduced the Bullet Series of high-performance pistons and rods to stay current as the industry shifts to new directions.

“The Bullet Series is perfect for the USMTS and USRA racer,” said Bryce Mulvey of CP-Carrillo. “The new division was created specifically for the Saturday night racer. Most of our customers have moved away from the crate motor, and the Bullet Series pistons and rods are built to perform, built to last and built right here in the USA.”

This series of pistons and rods will be the flagship for this new venture and will incorporate everything that has made CP-Carrillo the industry leader.

“Whether it’s engineering or manufacturing, CP-Carrillo is constantly looking for ways to make our parts better. Extensive research and development along with centralized manufacturing cells have enabled CP-Carrillo to accomplish this goal and pass along the savings to our customers.”

Many people know that CP-Carrillo continues to be the leader in the high performance piston market. What many may not know is that CP-Carrillo is home to one of the most advanced, state-of-the-art piston and rod manufacturing facilities in the world.

Located in Irvine, Calif., their facility and capabilities are second to none in this respect, and the new Bullet Series division of CP-Carrillo is a perfect fit into an already advanced system.

As part of their commitment to USMTS and USRA competitors, CP-Carrillo will be awarding product certificates to a combined eleven champions in both organizations, as well as making a significant contribution to the regional and national points funds on both sides.

Opening weekend takes place Thursday-Saturday, Feb. 11-13, at the Shady Oaks Speedway in Goliad, Texas, followed by tripleheader weekends at the Heart ‘O’ Texas Speedway near Waco, Texas, Feb. 18-20; Ark-La-Tex Speedway in Vivian, La., Feb. 25-27; and Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore, Okla., March 3-5.

Each show will pay $2,000, $3,000 and $4,000 to win, respectively, and will comprise the first dozen events in the expanded 17-race Double H Bands Southern Region presented by Day Motor Sports.
