SPRING VALLEY, Minn.—Throughout the week, cool temperatures and precipitation fell on the grounds of Deer Creek Speedway. Officials met late Friday night to discuss a game plan to get week number two of the season in, and as talks went on it came down to one thing: Saturday morning had to come with sunshine and higher temperatures to give us a chance.

Unfortunately, race fans, Saturday started with more of the same cool temperatures, damp conditions and a forecast calling for more of the same.

Because of this, officials have been forced to cancel all events scheduled for Saturday, April 30.

The action will pick back up next Saturday, May 7, with an afternoon practice session on Button Buck Speedway for the Slingshot division from 3-5 p.m. All five weekly classes will hit the high banks of Deer Creek Speedway at 6 p.m.
