Farmer Appreciation Night a big success at Legit Speedway

WEST PLAINS, Mo.—A large crowd was on hand Saturday at Legit Speedway for the 2nd Annual Farmer Appreciation Night. It was a regular points night and all six classes were in action with a great field of drivers and cars.

Sponsored by Reliable Chevrolet, a field of 19 Out-Pace USRA B-Mods hit the track and put on a great show for the fans.

Toby Thompson from Mountain Grove and Kris Jackson of Lebanon battled it out for the top spot but Thompson went out of the race on lap 16 and it was Jackson taking the checkered flag.

Logan Martin of West Plains battled his way through the field, starting outside on the fifth row, to take the second spot.

Shawn Strong of Clever, who started in the pole position, finished in third.

During intermission, the Houston All Star Cheerleaders entertained the large crowd that had taken advantage of discounted ticket prices for Farmer Appreciation Night.

There are no races this weekend at Legit Speedway. Racing will resume on May 21. Gates will open at 5. Hot laps will begin at 6:30 and races at 7.
