CORTEZ, Colo.—The 2016 season will be a first on two fronts at the Fairgrounds Speedway in Cortez, Colo.

While it is the debut for promoters Kevin and Juanita Faddis at the 3/8-mile dirt oval located on Montezuma County Fairgrounds, it is also the first race track in Colorado to fly the banner for the United States Racing Association.

The scenic facility located four miles east of Cortez on U.S. Hwy. 160, will work in conjunction with nearby Aztec Speedway in Aztec, N.M., which is also bringing the excitement of the USRA Weekly Racing Series to their fans for the first time this year.

Both tracks will host USRA Modifieds, Holley USRA Stock Cars, Out-Pace USRA B-Mods and USRA Limited Mods.

Opening night at the Fairgrounds Speedway is this Friday, May 13, with Hobby Stocks and Mini-Stocks also on the card. The track will also race on Saturday with Mini-Sprints added to the line-up.
