USRA Modifieds, Stock Cars at Tipton in 2006

TIPTON, Iowa -- Officials from the Cedar County Speedway in Tipton, Iowa, have announced that they will sanction their Modified and Stock Car classes with the United States Racing Association (USRA) for the 2006 racing season.

USRA Modified competitors will be racing for $1,000 to win the track championship and $10,000 to win the USRA Casey's General Stores Weekly Racing Series national title. Racers in the Stock Car division at the Cedar County Speedway will battle for a $700-to-win track championship and a $3,000 top prize in the Stock Car national championship.

With regular racing on Friday nights, the historic quarter-mile oval will also feature limited late model, b-modified, cruiser and four-cylinder classes during their regular weekly program.

The Cedar County Speedway is located at the west edge of Tipton on 9th St. (at the Cedar County Fairgrounds).
