Cresco Speedway drivers’ meeting set, banquet cancelled due to schedule conflict

CRESCO, Iowa -- Scheduling conflicts have forced officials from RL Promotions to cancel the Jan. 14 banquet date for the Cresco Speedway.

“We are sorry for this late development,” said Todd Staley, President/Promoter of RL Promotions, which also operates USRA Weekly Racing at four other racetracks in Iowa and Missouri. “We at RL Promotions would like to thank everyone for thier understanding. The USRA is rapidly expanding for 2006, and we are working hard to get the USRA and all of the RL Promotions tracks to the next level.”

RL Promotions will be holding a drivers’ meeting on Sunday afternoon, January 29, starting at noon at the Expo Center in Cresco. The meeting will provide drivers’ points fund checks and trophies, as well as schedules, rules and all information regarding the 2006 racing season at the Cresco Speedway.

Any drivers that are not in attendance will get their checks in the mail after the meeting. RL Promotions will also be selling licenses, car numbers and season passes at this meeting. All drivers, car owners and crew members are invited to attend.
