FLIPPIN, Ark.—After two consecutive rained out events, the North Central Arkansas Speedway resumed Friday night racing under hot and dry conditions along the banks of Crooked Creek.

The Out-Pace USRA B-Mod feature race was the second of three caution-free feature races on the night and featured a fantastic battle for the win that played out over the last 11 trips around the speedway.

The race began with John Briggs and Jason Snodgrass pacing the field to the start and Briggs quickly put his car out in front of Snodgrass on lap one finding traction in the upper groove of the speedway.

Snodgrass moved to the bottom of the track by lap 2 and kept the leader close in his sights over the first several times around the track.

By lap 8 Snodgrass began applying serious pressure to Briggs with the drivers racing alongside each other at the start-finish line on lap 9.

Over the final half of the race less then a car length separated the two cars at the line as they raced side by side, with Snodgrass getting his car out in front on lap 11.

Briggs battled back to lead lap 12, but Snodgrass was able to keep his car pinned to the bottom of the track and got back in the lead by mere inches on lap 13.

Briggs used the top of the track to gain an advantage over Snodgrass in turns 1-2 but Snodgrass took advantage of the shortest way around the track on the very bottom to lead at the line each of the last several laps, crossing the finish line less then a foot in front of Briggs as the checkered flag waved.

Racing action continues Friday night, June 17, with all classes in action.

North Central Arkansas Speedway is located between Yellville and Flippin on Hwy. 62-412. Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and those with a military ID, $5 for those ages 7-5 with children 6 and under getting in free. A family plan is $25 for two adults and their family members 15 and under.
