Maggard scores in Monett Speedway opener

MONETT, Mo. - Brandon Maggard of Republic, Mo., captured the USRA Modified main event Sunday as the Monett (Mo.) Speedway debuted the class at their season-opening event.

Steve Holzkamper, Johnny Bone Jr., Rex Merritt and Steve Muilenburg rounded out the top 5 finishers.

Racing continues next Sunday, April 8, as drivers in the USRA Modified division continue their chase for the national title in the USRA Casey's General Stores Weekly Racing Series. Also on the program sponsored by Tim Parson's Auto Sales will be Late Models, Super Stocks, Factory Stocks, Bombers, Rookies and DLRA Legends Cars.
