Rapid Speedway adds USRA B-Mods to Friday night lineup

ROCK RAPIDS, Iowa -- Officials from Rapid Speedway in Rock Rapids, Iowa, have announced that they will sanction their B-Modified class with the United States Racing Association (USRA) for the 2006 racing season.

Beginning with the season opener this Friday, April 28, USRA B-Mod competitors at Rapid Speedway will be racing for $500 to win the track championship, plus a shot at the $2,000 top prize for winning the USRA B-Mod national championship.

With regular racing on Friday nights at 8 p.m., the historic Lyons County Fairgrounds 3/8-mile oval will also feature 360 Sprints/Non-Wing Sprints, Late Model Stock Cars, Sportsmans, Hobby Stocks, Factory Stocks and WISSOTA Late Models.

Rapid Speedway is located 0.5 mile east of US 75 on SR 9, then 0.5 mile south on South Tama St. (at the Lyons County Fairgrounds).
