July 23 events cancelled at Deer Creek


SPRING VALLEY, Minn.—All events scheduled for July 23rd at Deer Creek Speedway and Button Buck Speedway have been cancelled due to the recent precipitation, the extreme heat conditions and the pending forecast.

The action will pick back up next Saturday, July 30th as the United States Modified Touring Series visits the speedway for the first time in 2016 for the 14th annual A&A Electric and Underground Southern MN Spring Challenge.

The Slingshots will kick off the afternoon events on Button Buck Speedway at 3:00. Fans are urged to come out early and watch the future stars and their cars tackle the 1/5 mile bull ring.

The action will heat up on Deer Creek Speedway at 6:00 and will feature the USMTS Modifieds who will be chasing after a $3,000 payday. The Out-Pace USRA B-Mods, Holley USRA Stock Cars and the WISSOTA Polydome Dirt Track Series Street Stocks will also be in action. Please note that the only class receiving track points for this event will be the WISSOTA Street Stocks.

Adult grandstand tickets are $18, kids 12 & under are $5. Pit gates opens at 2:00, grandstands open at 4:00, hot laps are at 5:30 and racing action will start at 6:00.
