WHEATLAND, Mo.—When the Budweiser Weekly Championship Series at Lucas Oil Speedway resumes on Saturday, fans will have a chance to help neighbors in need.

The annual Ozarks Food Harvest Food Drive Night Presented by KOLR Channel 10 will attempt to surpass the record 8,144 pounds of food collected during last year's drive at the speedway. More than 36,500 pounds of food has been gathered since the partnership began in 2008.

Fans bringing four or more non-perishable food items will be given a free general admission.

"This is always one of our most-popular and important events each season and our fans always rise to the occasion to help out a great cause," Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Dan Robinson said. "We're happy to again partner with our friends at KOLR Channel 10 and the Ozarks Food Harvest for a night that will make a difference for those in need."

Ozarks Food Harvest is the only food bank serving southwest Missouri, distributing over 14.6 million meals every year through its network of 200 pantries and programs in 28 counties. Hickory County CARES Food Pantry in Wheatland benefits from weekly deliveries by Ozarks Food Harvest.

More information about the Ozarks Food Harvest can be found at www.OzarksFoodHarvest.org.

Also Bike Night: The speedway also is hosting a "Bike Night" on Saturday with with the Top of the Ozarks chapter of BACA - Bikers Against Child Abuse - displaying their motorcycles on the midway prior to the races. Megan Dollens with Aaron Sachs & Associates will have a display for Ozarks On Two Wheels.

Fans are encouraged to ride their motorcycle to the races and join the display - and bring four non-perishable food items to gain free admission.

Lucas Oil Speedway has been included in the 2016 Missouri Motorcycle Guide - listing 30 of the best motorcycle routes in Missouri - with this an opportunity to take in the ride and a night at the races. The Lucas Oil Speedway loop is featured on page 61 of the digital guide at www.missourilife.com/travel/motorcycle-guide.

Racing action: On the track, the Carson's Corner Street Stocks will be highlighted in a special 25-lap feature with $500 going to the winner. The ALPS Food Stores Late Models, Pitts Homes USRA Modifieds and Ozark Golf Cars USRA B-Mods also will be in action.

Bolivar's Jeff Cutshaw picked up feature victory No. 3 last Saturday and that widened his points lead over second-place Jason Pursley of Hermitage to 168. Cutshaw, the reigning Modified track champ, has six straight top-three finishes.

Ozark Golf Cars USRA B-Mods: Springfield's J.C. Morton will take an 83-point cushion over Lebanon's Kris Jackson into this week's action. Morton was third last week with Jackson claiming his third feature victory of the season.
