EL PASO, Texas—The USRA Modifieds were back for some adrenaline-pumping action Friday night at the Western Tech Speedway Park and it a good one.

Out-Pace USRA B-Mods would get a shot at the track first tonight and the 38 of Hector Prigione would jump to the early lead. The 52tx of Paddy Rush was al over him from the drop of the green and on lap 2 the 52tx would make his move out of turn 4 to lead that one cleanly. The 9 of Jammin Jimmy Ray was also on the move into second but Paddy Rush would put up a fight for the lead. With 5 in and 10 to go the top 2 were way ahead but the 15x of Sean Bowman was into third and trying to head at them. With 8 to go the 9 would make his first move for the lead but Jimmy Ray not able to make it stick yet. Paddy Rush would have a bumper full of Jimmy Ray for the next 3 laps until Jimmy Ray tried to get him one more time. This time Jimmy Ray uses a lapped car as a pick and moves it way outside to steal the lead with 4 to go! Paddy Rush would stand on the gas to get him back but nothing would do as at the checkered it was Jammin Jimmy Ray taking another win in the Out-Pace USRA B-Mods! A solid top 2 for Paddy Rush tonight as the 15x of Bowman is way back in third.

Holley USRA Stock Cars with 15 laps tonight as a stacked field is chomping at the bit. The 29 of Ted Cain would lead into turn 1 but the 74 of Jason Josselyn on the move through two and threading the needle for the lead! Aggressive move from the 74 there and it gets him the lead. With 3 complete the 74 was trying to get away but the 44Jt of Jaime Torres had other plans. Torres would start to look low with 11 to go but can’t make it stick yet. Still 9 to go at the line but Josselyn getting loose in 4 and Torres driving right underneath him! A small mistake there and that one might have cost him the race. Jaime Torres would run a clean last 7 laps and even with a couple more advances from the 74 the 44JT would take the checkered once again at The Park. Jason Josselyn bringing the 74 machine home second tonight and the 13 of Victor Colorbio rounds out the top 3.

The time has come and the moment is now. The USRA Modifieds are rocking and rolling for a full 25 laps tonight and its set to be a family affair. The Gallardo clan of Fito and Jake Gallardo both started on the front row tonight and they would never give up those positions. The G17 of Fito was like a bullet on the start and never bothered to look back. The 9 of Jammin Jimmy Ray would move into third after just 3 laps but the top 2 where already packed up and moved out. Just 5 laps in Fito would catch lapped cars but as usual he cut them like butter and made his get away. The J17 of Jake would have a couple shots at his dad, first with 15 to go he would drive under him in lapped traffic but couldn’t make it happen with so many cars. Next time it was 12 to go and Jake would drive it in hard from the top. G17 just too fast in clean air and the J17 was out of luck for now. With only 9 left on the clock, a yellow would fly and the G17 would have to give up a big lead. Good break for Jimmy Ray who had been in third but couldn’t make it happen. Jimmy Ray like a bottle rocket on the restart and into second! Jimmy has second for 3 laps but Jake Gallardo wasting no time though and holds it wide clyde outside to get the second spot back with 4 to go! One more yellow with two laps to go would keep everyone on their toes but it wouldn’t matter because as the checkered flag dropped the G17 of Fito Gallardo had once again gone flag to flag to get another win at Western Tech Speedway Park. Jake Gallardo on the gas tonight as second will have to do. The hard charger in this one goes to the 07 of Donovan Flores who would capitalize on a mechanical error from the 9 and dart his way into the top 3! The 85 of Austin Adams was on the move as well as he finishes 4th.

If you missed the action tonight then you missed a ton of fun! But, don’t worry because next weekend we go 305 Sprint Car racing at Western Tech Speedway Park. Bring your friends and bring your family because its gonna be a wild one. Gates open at 5:30 with racing at 7:45. See you there.
